Summer Sun 03:12
I want to lead you back up the path of least resistance, where I threw all the heroes down. I want to lead you. With a single push, we'll clear the cobwebs. We'll take a piece of that summer sun down. If you knew what I'm thinking, then it might make you cry. But every bad thought is so good to me too. And I know we'll get through this, cause I've missed you so bad, like the summer sun. You're pushing, and quiet when you should be honest. You're fighting two fights with a kiss. I've waited years for this. I've waited years, the last in line. Now that you're here we've got the time.

Highwire 04:23
She was getting high on it. You were walking tightropes for that girl. She was gonna die from it. You were dying from the weight of the world. You hold only one side of the highwire, walking to the one you love. Two people from dusk to dawn but it won't work out; from the time we're born to the time we begin to talk, it's tricky not to give up. We were the top of the world (you're my downhill girl). When the top of the world is coming down, like you've felt before, like you know it will; when the top of the world is crashing down, I hope you have love girl, I hope you have love.

Crawl 04:48
Would you sail the sea for me? Wrap it up in a string for me? Would you crawl up a cross for me? They're saying you're a half-breed, you're one of us, you're one of them, you're one of me; saying you're a god, saying you're a problem. I need your mercy. Would you fly to the moon for me? Bring it over to let me see? Would you whisper that you love me in the holy sanctuary, and then atone for the crime? They're saying you're a half-breed, you're one of us, you're one of them, you're one of me; saying you're a god, saying you're a problem. I need your mercy. And your lovingkindness, and all that's in the Bible, and all that's in the world, and all that's in me. Would you crawl up a cross for me.

Slip Away 04:25
She's the one who tries to slip away. I'm still watching for her to this day. She's been building up like a hurricane. She's just a little act of god. She's been stranded in the road like an accident, breaking all the hearts until they're gone; left us dying when she fled the scene. She's just a little hit and run. The one who tries to slip away. Morning comes, washes her dreams away. Each of them were riddled with pain. She says to them, "I can't handle my mistakes. They make me desperate until they're gone. And I can't hold a leaf in my hands without ripping it up until it's gone. Don't know if I can carry on." She used to feel so deeply, and feel so clean. I'm gonna lay her down beside me, in safety.
5.
The traffic light color of the air tonight; your empty seat just to my right. What I can't stand's what I can't fight. You're my heavy heart, my peace of mind, and I sent you away. You're my peace of mind, and you're gone this time, to find your running shoes and plan your escape. You're my heavy heart, finding its way back home. I'm gonna run to you and hide my face. The problems spend all day in our minds. The little facts are stuck in our eyes. Too much between us not to fight. You're my heavy heart, my peace of mind, and I sent you away. (On the red carpet nights, are you ready to read me my rights?)

Clouds 03:22
My sister's calling my name, but I woke up like thunder rolling away. I never have much to talk about, so I talk about the weather and if it'll change. She said that the clouds in the sky are moving all day. She asked me why on my life have I never changed? I'll never change. And if it would thunder, I'd run to her bed. And if it got louder, I'd hide my head. Things go back to normal. Let's go back to normal.
7.
Raging like a signal wind, wanting to find my love. Like the end of the rain in a flood, a flood of things I've done. I'd weep if I weren't so used to your love. I wish I could stay. Like a honeybee against the summer sun, or the wind on the lake. So much lost when so much has been done from walking through this parade. I'd weep if I weren't so used to your love. And if I don't feel it anymore, it's too far down in my heart. And if I'm not talking anymore, shutting down from the start; and if I'm not feeling like running home to hold you in my arms... I'd weep if I weren't so used to your love.
8.
I don't want to take every impulse by the hand, to lead me around the world and then leave me alone. They say we're living here with a price on our heads and the breath in our lungs. But I won't give up until it burns my heart down. Some maniac has lit the match, and he's lighting up the whole damn town and the breath in our lungs. I want to fall like rain in an empty field, in an empty lane; in the city streets and the stars above, and the breath in our lungs. I want everyone to change from streetlights into stars.
9.
Gonna ride 'til my wheels are gone; blue and white like the sky where the road is long. Gonna fight till my life is spent. I'm not dying, I'm killing till the end. Gonna build my pyramids from the stones of Rome; from London Bridge. The clock on the wall gonna stop and fall and for just a second, I can start again.
